The team holds three NFL titles to their name, and has made it to the Super Bowl twice in their history. The team won three consecutive NFL Championships, two of which were shutouts. In 1948 the Eagles defeated the Chicago Cardinals 7-0, and the next year took the Los Angeles Rams 14-0. This makes the team the only one to ever win back-to-back Championships through shutouts.

The third NFL Championship came in 1960, making the Eagles the only team to beat Vince Lombardi and the Packers in the playoffs. It would be 1978 before the team qualified for the postseason again. But they were then led to four playoff appearances in a row, including a Super Bowl XV loss to the Raiders.

From 1988 to 1996, the team qualified for the playoffs six of the nine seasons. Each time a new coach came in, the team's performance increased. From 2001-2004 they made it to play four conference games in a row. The team made it to the Super Bowl again in 2004, but lost to the Patriots. In 2006 they secured the NFC East Championship, but didn't make it past the divisional playoffs.

Eagles News:

The Eagles have looked pretty good this season, however in the ultra-competitive NFC East pretty good isn't good enough. They need to buckle down and win more games if they are going to make it to the post-season. They have a talented team and a sharp head coach, so there's a pretty good chance the Eagles will be able to get to the post-season.

The Philadelphia Eagles used Lehigh University for their training camp. It is the 12th year that the Eagles traveled to Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, to prepare for the new season.

During the March, 2007 free agency trading period the Eagles equaled anybody in the NFL for activity, as they modified their roster to give the team a shot in the arm for the new season. Throughout March, the Eagles have immersed themselves in the trading, and numerous positional needs have been met, providing overall strength for the team. The Eagles spent a lot of money, a decades-long trend, luring some of the most costly free agents to the Eagles' new Lincoln Financial Field stadium. They acquired linebacker Takeo Spikes and quarterback Kelly Holcomb Monday March 26, creating some high expectation for the coming season.

Lincoln Financial Field is an excellent new stadium for the Philadelphia Eagles, one which is modern and well-maintained. Fans will be seeking Philadelphia Eagles tickets for all home games this season, hoping for Super Bowl glory after a huge number of Playoffs wins and losses stretching back several decades. The Eagles lost the Super Bowl against the New England Patriots in 2004, but haven't won it since 1960, despite a couple of appearances over the past three decades. As the 2007 schedule is unveiled the atmosphere will reach fever pitch, and football ticket prices will be at a premium, as Eagles fans flock to their new stadium to see if their big-spending team can finally pull off a Super Bowl triumph.
