The playoffs culminate with the Super Bowl. The league is divided into 32 teams, with two conferences divided into four divisions with four teams each. Six teams from each conference move to the playoffs. Four division champions, one from each team in the conference, are matched with two wild card teams.
The first round is known as the Wild Card playoffs. Teams are seeded according to their record during the regular season. The first two seeded teams are given a bye and progress to the Divisional Playoffs, meeting the teams that survived the Wild Card Playoffs. The two teams that make it to the end of the Divisional Playoffs will progress to the Conference Championship game. The winner of each Conference Championship heads to the Super Bowl. There are tie-breaking rules to determine the winner in the case of a tied score.
