With a slow start, the team has become one of the elite franchises in the league both on the field and in the stands. The team won back-to-back Super Bowl titles in 1997 and 1998; largely thanks to quarterback John Elway, running back Terrell Davis and their coach Mike Shanahan.

Starting with the first-ever AFL win over the Boston Patriots, the team has a long list of firsts in the league. For instance, the team was the first American pro-football team to have a black place-kicker, and the first with a receiver who had 100 receptions in one season, Lionel Taylor.

Denver has made it to the Super Bowl six times, and won it twice. Much of this success is due to Shanahan, head coach since 1995. The same year the team acquired rookie running back Terrell Davis, who led the team to their first victory in the Super Bowl over the Packers. After his retirement in 1998, Denver has only had one losing season, has made the playoffs three times as a wild card and has been division champion once.

Broncos News:

The Broncos released an ex-Cleveland player while welcoming another, March 2007, as the offseason training period comes to life, and free-agency trade spawns a host of migrations between teams. Ex-Browns linesman, defensive tackle Alvin McKinley, has signed a four-year contract and it is hoped he will boost sales of Denver Broncos tickets and inspire results in the coming season. McKinley became a free agent market early March, having become a starting defensive tackle ironically after Michael Myers and Gerard Warren departed for the Broncos. He made 45 tackles in 2006, and started all 30 games for the previous two seasons. Without question, McKinley is a boon to the Broncos roster, and can't wait to tackle the NFL schedule wearing his new colors.

The Denver Broncos moved into their current home, Invesco Field at Mile High, in 2001, following $265 million construction of the super-modern stadium. The former site of the fabled Mile High Stadium is now a pleasantly landscaped array of grass, trees and parking lots. The new stadium enjoys state-of-the-art technology and facilities, while retaining many physical features of Mile High Stadium that have gave the Broncos a definite home field advantage over the years. The spectators' seats have been placed in close proximity to the field, and steel treads and risers have been installed to recreate that "Rocky Mountain Thunder" rumble, for which Mile High Stadium was notorious.

The stadium occupies 1.7 million square feet of space, which is double that of Mile High. The stadium provides an unparalleled treat for game-goers, regardless of disabilities or other impediments, and state-of-the-art applications abound at every turn. Denver Broncos football tickets offer the sports fan a glimpse of the future, while keeping many aspects of the past for old time's sake. Denver folk will be waiting for this season to kick off, with hopes of a playoffs or even Super Bowl date next January. That will be something to create a roar about!
