Cincinnati Bengals Tickets

Originally the team was a member of the All-America Football Conference, and they were champions of the league for each of the four years it existed. A rivalry exists between the Cleveland Browns and the Cincinnati Bengals, as the owners of the two teams were once partners, co-owning the Browns.

Paul Brown, the founder of the Bengals coached the team through their first three seasons, choosing players with above-average intelligence to play for the team. During the '80s the team was successful and fun to watch, and even made it to the Super Bowl twice. Super Bowl XVI was the first above the Mason Dixon line. They also played in the "Freezer Bowl," the coldest NFL game ever played on record in 1982. The game-time temperature was -56 degrees Fahrenheit. The Bengals wore sleeveless jerseys to intimidate the Chargers who were more used to California weather.

The '90s became known as "the lost decade," as the team posted a losing record in 11 of 12 seasons, holding the worst record in the NFL from 1991-2002. Now under new management, the team plans to leave their poor record behind.

Bengals News:

Cincinnati Bengals 3-year exclusive punter Kyle Larson has become the first $1 million punter in Bengals history, sending Cincinnati fans clamoring for Bengals' football tickets in anticipation of the coming season. Larson has signed a one-year, $1.2 million contract, which will guarantee his top quality service to Cincinnati for the coming season. 2007 is Larson's fourth year in the NFL, and Bengals' fans in the bleachers will be waiting to see if Larson can maintain his "best since 1995" status as a punter in the 2007 season. The 3-year exclusive punting position is an indication of the prowess of Larson, who signed with Cincinnati as a college free agent three years ago. Performances as placekick holder have been another hallmark of his professional career, resulting in club-record streaks for kicker Shayne Graham, of 17 straight field goals and 158 straight extra points (PAT's).

Larson is the fourth veteran to re-sign for the Bengals during the free agency period since March 2. Tight end Reggie Kelly, running back Kenny Watson, and center Alex Stepanovich, are other Bengals restricted free agents to sign on this league year. The Bengals' roster is looking secure, and the core of the team appears solid and ready for another season in American football at the spectacular Paul Brown Stadium.

Last season, the Bengals lost their final game against the defending Super Bowl champion Pittsburgh Steelers. If they had beaten the Steelers, and other teams would have complied with their own scores, the Bengals might have made the playoffs, but it was not to be. The disappointing season ended in a 23-17 overtime loss at Paul Brown Stadium. After being rated one of the league's more potent threats, the Bengals succumbed to fatigue and the rigors of the punishing schedule, finally losing on the road to Indianapolis and Denver, and at home to the Steelers. Despite this, the seats and boxes were alive with excitement, as Cincinnati turned out to bid its heroes goodbye for another season. If all goes well, Cincinnati Bengals' football tickets will be at a premium this coming season for home games.
